Let's not keep pushing kids into positions they may not want to play nor is that their best position to play in order to get them to the next level. Just because it worked once with Devin White doesn't mean these position changes will have that outcome every time. We are more likely to push these kids out the door with any sort of forced position change.
Citizen will be a RB, either here or someplace else, let's make sure it's here.
this reminds me of a thread i made years ago about this topic. any kid who chooses RB over LB (assuming similar projections) is making the wrong choice. now, this isn't a direct response to your comments (as they're more about coaching decisions and not player decisions), but i'm just saying...LBs project to longer careers being paid more in the NFL

Longevity wise and possibly financially you could be right, however you have to factor in what position the kid actually enjoys playing more.
If Citizen wants to be a RB more than a LB, then for God's sake let the kid make the choice to play RB.
If LSU doesn't give him that choice, another school will, and he will be out the door. Its different if the kid has the choice, but it's BS if the coach says "sorry son your a linebacker here" that isn't going to work, and more kids will leave then stay when position changes are forced on them.
