I agreee with your points. BUT, this isn't really about follow up seasons that made them feel better. Maybe I will change the Lebron one to the 2007 ECF vs the Pistons.

I think for a fanbase to be ‘killed’ the suffering has to be prolonged, not necessarily one year. That’s why I wouldn’t include the Spurs loss to the Heat.

Norwood kick is a great one. I think Buffalo lacked confidence in the follow up SB appearances. Just look at the Dallas games.
