We were extremely lazy on the defensive side of the ball in the first half. Closed out poorly, allowed open shots consistently, which has always been an issue for Wades team. We got killed on the glass in the first half, didn’t box anyone out. Took extremely poor shots in the first half.

All of this stems from not being mentally prepared to play. Our team thought we could show up and go through the motions and win the game. Like I’ve said in another thread. I love Will Wade and I’m glad to have him at LSU. But one thing he has struggled with in his tenure is keeping his team and players focused for the entire season. He always has a handful of games where his team doesn’t show up ready to play.

Everything you’ve sighted is valid, but they are issues that LSU has had all season long (including in their wins), not just in the games that you’re able to somehow discern from your couch that they weren’t mentally prepared for. Believe it or not, in a game where the two teams have the same amount of turnovers, but one team shoots worse from the floor, from 3 and from the the free throw line, that team is likely going to lose the game. It’s an easy deduction to make without acting like you have the slightest clue as to whether or not they were “mentally prepared”.
