Our players go up against that in practice every day. This isn’t the movies where a 94 MPH fast ball should lock you up.
You conveniently left out the 97 part. You know, the fastball that was also tailing away. In case you didn’t know, a 94mph fastball can lock you up pretty quickly. I didn’t say the players shouldn’t be able to hit it, but just saying we lost to AF when we have more talent doesn’t give the whole picture. So you’re acknowledging that AF threw some arms that have equal talent to LSU?

Yes, if you don’t have the right approach at the plate a 94mph fast ball will most definitely lock you up. If you’re not expecting fastball you may be in a pickle. If you’re looking outside and the pitcher comes inside you may be in a pickle. Point being that if the batter doesn’t have some idea of what pitch he’s looking for he puts himself at a much greater disadvantage. 94mph is plenty fast to lock a batter up. Greg Maddux used to lock batters up with an 86mph pitch. He relied mostly on location.
