Did he really rip them off? The brothers sold out. I grew up liking BK more but now prefer McDonald's. Better service (except for the shake machines) and way more consistent.

I still prefer BK's burgers to McD's but pretty much every BK around NOLA has employees that are so incompetent, they make McD's workers look like Chick-fil-A by comparison.

While this is true, part of the deal was that the brothers got to keep the original McDonald's BBQ and burger place that started it all, only for Kroc to open up a McDonald's right across the street which forced the brothers out of business.

Dude was a dick.
