You can show someone an extended quote from Ted Kaczynski without telling them the author.

Damn, that guy is insightful. People should hear what he has to say. What's his name?

Ted Kaczynski.

Oh.

I doubt the average American even knows his name. I told people that tech further creates the divide between the intelligent and the idiots.

You beat me to it as I was about to say the same thing. Last week I watched a Netflix movie, "Breach," about FBI agent Robert Hanssen. He was personally responsible for the largest intelligence breach the US has ever had. At one time he led the FBI department in charge of keeping track of Russia. He was thought to be responsible for revealing the identity of approx 50 agents and at least 3 deaths. Anyway, at the end of the show it said he was in the Federal Supermax Prison in CO. I mentioned to a younger person that that's the same prison where a bunch of notorious people are, including: Terry Nichols, El Chapo, Eric Rudolph, Ted Kaczynski and others. The person didn't recognize most of those names. BTW, I liked "Breach". I also recommend "Richard Jewell" and "Manhunt: Deadly Games." "Richard Jewell" was a good movie done by Clint Eastwood about the man who's life was ruined when the FBI leaked his name to a local reporter as the suspected Olympic Park bomber. There was no evidence he did the bombing and he was never charged. "Manhunt" was a multi part series on CBS. The original was about Ted Kaczynski. "Manhunt: Deadly Games" ties together the story about Richard Jewell w/ the actual Atlanta Olympic Park bomber, Eric Rudolph. BTW, after watching "Deadly Games" and "Richard Jewell" you'll realize corruption at the top levels of the FBI is nothing new.
