I’ve never played a table top game but oh my gosh, I want this so much.
Everything looks like an absolute joy to paint, then when your done, you can play the game I guess lol.
People are expecting it to cost like $175-$200 which is half the price of a new console lol.

You have to paint it yourself?

Yeah. That’s a huge part of it. There’s a huge community of people who paint board game models/table top models.
You also have to assemble them. Not sure if these require glue or are push-fit

People have different hobbies. Some like to paint miniatures.
Others like to obsess over what football team 15-16 year-old boys will end up playing for.

Well, considering it’s a fairly expensive hobby, most people who do it have disposable income, so yes, I’d say they do ok for themselves.

It’s like you can have different interests for different reasons.
I’m sick of staring at my screen for 75 % of my day. At the end of the day, when I want to do something to relax and challenge myself, I find painting relaxing.

I picked up model building and painting at the start of the year and its pretty fun. Nice to sit back and look at a tangible collection of things you've created.
Pretty interested in this

Soccer board.
Just kidding. Always thought painting miniatures looked fun, I'm just not artistic enough. I know they'd look like shite and I'd be throwing away money.
There are many table tops pushing $100. I don't think 200 is that unreasonable given it's 2 in 1 type deal.

Its definitely a skill and you will suck at first but anything worth doing isn't gonna be easy at the start.
Everyone's first ones look like shite.

It’s something that you just have to do. And do more. And do more.
Things are pretty standardized for new people these days. At least to start out and start building skills.
Say you want to paint a cloak. Say red. Then you shade that same spot with a darker red mixed with water. Then you paint the raised edges with a lighter red. You’ve just created a realistic, 3D looking cloak. It’s that simple when starting out.

I want to say mine didn’t because it was a necron scarab and it was just brass and lead and green. Necron stuff in general is super easy to paint except for the swords

It's a hobby. Doesn't matter what it is. Im 25 have a good job, a fiance, kid, house, multiple vehicles, etc. My hobbies are Football, Video Games, Saltwater fishing, and the Yu-Gi-Oh TCG. I go fishing every other weekend and almost every Wednesday go play yu-gi-oh competitively at a card shop in baton rouge. It's fun, it keeps my mind sharp since it involves huge amounts of strategy and it's something to do. BTW, never had a problem getting pussy. Hell, I've gotten pussy in the card shop parking lot before playing in a tournament lol! What man wants a woman that doesn't approve of their hobbies FOR frickS SAKE?!?!

I'm not into painting miniatures but I play online with friends through Tabletop Simulator. You have to find the mods made by other people but Warhammer is great.

I’ve never played anything warhammer but this will be the exception. I now kinda want to get black fortress too now too.
