I agree but also don't think that's her fault. She didn't project that. Everyone looking for the next wunderkind ala Tiger gets the blame for that. She was sort of a precursor to guys like Moses and Fournette who peaked with the hype as teenagers. It's always been common just didn't have the internet hype machine of modern times. LLWS shows us every year 12-13 year olds who will never be as good at baseball as they are then.
Is she overreacting? Yes. Should Rudy have kept that one to himself in this age of cancel culture and liberal censorship? Yes he should have. He's a brilliant man that says and does stupid things more often than you'd expect from someone with his smarts.

She is up there with Anna Kornikova as the most hyped athlete ever. But at least has won something significant.
