100%, yes. 90% of the population would never tax the CPU’s to where you’d notice a difference. Hard core gamers, yeah, they will notice. Some software developers running IDE and test harnesses, yes. But most everyone else would never really notice.
As for battery life... meh. I personally don’t find that as big of a selling point after an 8-10 hour day, I’m plugging in somewhere. Yeah, I may be inconvenienced a half dozen over the life of my laptop. Nothing to get me squirting in my shorts about.
