But for some reason there's just polish in WW that sets it apart. It doesn't do anything new, but feels completely new at the same time. The story, The Red Lion, the Fortresses.

It's a pure gaming bliss all the way through.

I know it was in the early days of the internet (relatively) but wasn't there a ton of negativity pre-launch about the art style? I'm not sure of there was an art style more apt for a game than the cell shading we got with WW. Bliss is a perfect way to describe WW. The discovery of the new islands, the puzzles, the story - it all is just perfect IMO and just a beautiful game. I found no flaw in it in any way. Also my favorite Ganon fight to date but BotW might change that.

A ton when it was first shown. People hated it. Said it was too cartoony, etc.

It was an honest Nintendo move and the game has aged well. Per the comment earlier, I bought it on the GC. I bought it again on the Wii U. I'd buy it again here.

Yeah after finishing BotW it was 1b to 1a WW in terms of enjoyment. I still think the WW Ganon fight is the best in the series.
