Collectors are weird

This is in no way what the current market consists of for long term holders. It's a bunch of guys trying to make a buck off the current bull market

This market is in a massive pump stage because of, as I've said 10000000 times, topshot created an inorganic marketplace.

They could have easily avoided this whole shite show and had a really awesome NTF to boom:

1. Create normalized set releases with single, normal packs. Hell, even do cheaper "retail" packs and then "hobby" packs priced accordingly

2. Have each retail or hobby pack contain (for this sake) 10 highlights. You get 8 "common/base" highlights that are numbered to basically unlimited, so x/500,000. The final 2 cards consist of the parallels or rarer cards, and these can consist of cards with a minimum of x/20,000 with the chance of one being better. Obviously you can scale this for bigger/better packs for the more expensive hobby packs

3) have all rookie highlight, whether base or parallel, be stamped. That way it will always be considered the "rookie" highlight.

Topshot, as it's run now, has a very bleak long-term outlook
