I’m south of Houston and our power went out at 5:30 this morning and it’s still out....we have a 3 year old and a 1 year old....we are covered in blankets...hopefully the power comes back on soon...starting to get colder in the house.....I guess if it doesn’t we will be out in my truck with the heater on

Get a "Buddy" RV heater (and a carbon monoxide detector before I get yelled at) and 2-20# propane tanks. You could keep a typical master bedroom at 100 degrees for 3 days if you wanted to. For a 200 dollar investment. The lack of simple preparedness in this country is mind boggling.
