I’ve got 5 kids and my wife talks to them whenever they call. Some daily and several times a day. They are very close to their mom. All of them, but I’m the paterfamilias. And that’s how it should be. We love our kids but we hold a special love for ourselves. We will be longer than the kids will be dependent on us.
We both are committed to each other regardless. We love our kids but realize that our commitment isn’t based on our kids.
