Opting out Conference Tournaments

Anyone worried that LSU may get screwed by this? Being that they are on the bubble and some of these teams who already in like Gonzaga skip out on their tournament. This could potentially cut out several bubble teams.

There is a simple solution for LSU...don't stay on the bubble. A win, at home, this weekend would be a good step in that direction.

Probably too soon to worry about since the team has work to do to make it into the tournament.
However, if Alabama opts out that would remove our worst match up in the SEC in our own tournament.

I still think the NCAA will reward teams that play in conference tourneys, especially for seeding purposes.
Only a handful of teams can really sit there and say I don't need the tourney.
And it would be a shame if someone like Bama opted out and UK gets on a roll and wins the tourney taking a spot from another deserving team.
It's why I wish they would have given the auto bid to the regular season champion in a year like this.

Yep, its gonna happen. They will use the no need to risk possibly getting covid excuse. Gonna be a bunch of micky mouse bullshite.

LSU plays in a real conference. Gonzaga plays in high school gyms against Mickey mouse teams. Nobody is skipping out on the SEC tournament

If LSU fails to make the tourney, they can only blame themselves. They’ve had plenty of opportunity to put themselves securely into the big dance.
