sigh, i cant believe i have to go through and prove my point from these examples...
again, my point was that in a single quarter, a max contract player had never shot at least 7+ times, made 0 shots, scored 0 pts, had 0 ast, had at least 1 TO
1st quarter: garnett had an assist
2nd Q: garnett scored
3rd Q: garnett had an assist
4th Q: garnett only took 3 shots (hardly played)
cant find a play by play from this game, but since he only took 14 shots in the whole game, good chance he didnt take 7+ shots in 1 Q. and even if he did, he probably made a FT, had an assist, or didnt have a turnover in that quarter. (not to mention 1999 is when the max contract began so you can toss most of these out anyway if we're being technical here)
1st Q: only played 1 min and only took 1 shot
2nd Q: had an assist
3rd Q: only played 2 min and only took 2 shots
4th Q: scored
again, no play by play that i can find. but probably didnt take 7+ shots in 1 Q considering he only took 18 total shots. and even if he did, he probably made a FT, had an assist, or didnt have a turnover in that quarter. (also yeah not contract max guy)
1st Q: scored
2nd Q: scored
3rd Q: scored
4th Q: scored
1st Q: assist
2nd Q: only took 1 shot
3rd Q: assist
4th Q: assist
1st Q: scored
2nd Q: scored
3rd Q: assist
4th Q: assist
1st Q: didnt take 7+ shots
2nd Q: didnt take a shot
3rd Q: assist
4th Q: didnt take 7+ shots
looks like he was bad in the last 2 games so i'll do both..
1st Q: didnt take 7+ shots
2nd Q: scored
3rd Q: assist
4th Q: assist
1st Q: scored
2nd Q: didnt take 7+ shots
3rd Q: scored
4th Q: assist
and again, these are playoff games where the defense is much better. not against a bottom 10 defensive team in the regular season
so yeah trust me...this type of shite had never been done. for a max player to take 7+ shots, miss them all, go scoreless, have 0 assists, and a turnover (and horrid defense), in a quarter was historically bad. love BI but that 3rd quarter was horrendous
the fact that we lost isn't that frustrating to me cause bulls just had legit a historic shooting night tonight, especially from lavine/white. what pissed me off was how shitty ingram was on both ends, particularly in that 3rd quarter
