Do you always leave the plastic wrapper on your cigars in your humidor?

First off, they're wrapped cellophane, not plastic. Cellophane is made from wood and is not recyclable, but it is biodegradable.

Cellophane doesn't really affect the humidity of the cigar, although naked cigars age faster.

If you're like me, and have a variety of different wrappers, they say keeping them in cellophane can help prevent them from comingling their flavors.

I leave them on.

Good article discussing cellophane off or on. Unless you're aging cigars it doesn't seem to make much of a difference. To each his own. I store mine cellophane off, in a 20 year old humidor I made myself. Have not ever had an issue, and tend to buy cigars in the same flavor and strength profile. I am a very casual cigar smoker now and enjoy the brand I enjoy. I will venture out and try different varieties, but always gravitate back to my "old faithful". My recommendation to anyone undertaking this hobby, don't make cigar smoking a complicated issue, try different varieties with a beer, scotch, whiskey or water, and always keep it simple. Cellophane off or on?
