I always recommend newbies get a few samplers and go from there. There’s so much quality out there, it’s hard to know exactly what you will prefer.

Fox Cigar has some great four and five pack samplers that come in humidor bags that are excellent for beginners that may not have a humidor set up.

But if you forced me to give you one cigar to try out as a new smoker, I’d go with the My Father La Opulencia.

This is the best advice. When I started dipping my toes 2 years back I bought a few different sample sets from famous smoke. I used these to find the ones that I liked the most and started buying those. From there I learned new ones to try from this thread and some online forums.
