Drug Testing Question

We always hear how LSU is more strict on drug testing (or more frequent), does anyone have the details on this? Are we different from Florida and Alabama, and if so, how different? And what about schools like Ohio State or non-SEC schools, is that different too or is it NCAA driven?

Our policy itself is in line with all other SEC schools. Now whether the kther schools chose to randomly drug test as much is what is in question

Kids are just idiots. You have to be an idiot to fail a drug test for marijuana these days. They’ll let them know a few weeks in advance when they’re being tested. They’re not even looking for marijuana in their system, it’s really PEDs or hard drugs

SEC schools drug testing policies are different and each school implements it - some more stringently than others
The NCAA also does random testing, I have no idea how frequently or if in season only or can they show up during offseason - from what I gather they can test for PEDs and recreational drugs.

NCAA does not do random testing. They test once per year, before the postseason, and they only test teams that make the postseason. If you fail an NCAA drug test, you are an absolute moron. Everyone knows exactly when, how, whom, and for what they test.

False. Unless they dramatically changed operations in the last 2 years.
Their standards are so punitive (1 year consecutive for PEDs, 6 months consecutive for recreational drugs), that if they truly randomly tested, and players smoked weed to the extent they actually do, virtually no football athlete would be eligible.
