You seem mad about this. The good news for you is that a used internal combustion truck is going to drop in value like a rock here over the next few years. You can upgrade for $10,000 to the former $70k truck in no time.
I just went through this. My Ram Rebel with 143,000 miles on it was worth $15,000. It had a $50k sticker on it.

No, I am not mad, I just deal in facts.
No fricking way everybody will be able to afford one of these things but that doesn't matter because the government will spend massive amounts of money to subsidize them.
You are talking about a small slice of the overall market NOW and comflating it with EVERYBODY being FORCED to buy one of these things.
I don't care, be stupid about it. Let the fricking government decide what you drive
