Just got fitted for irons at Club Champion here in Nashville. Had a great experience.

Added about 20 yards of carry moving to Srixon ZX5 from my 15 year old Cleveland CG Gold hand me downs. Ordered them with some kind of fancy black shaft.

Guess I have no more excuses to suck but would highly recommend the investment. Fitter was very cool and made me feel great about the purchase along with some of my bad swings.

sucks that the supply chain is so slow. I went a month ago and my custom putter still isn't ready.

ETA: It's not club champions fault, I'm guessing its Taylor Made

4 weeks for me. Good amount of time to keep working on my over the top lumber jack swing.

They tested my web slinger while I got tired on the irons and said it was pretty money and I shouldn't really consider a new one.

Surprised by that but gave me better faith in what he was selling me on irons.

3× championship flight
5× senior division
7× super senior

ETA: I'm just kidding. Never actually belonged to a club. Just worked at a bunch.

Moved to Nashville recently. Was thinking about getting fitted there myself. I was eyeing the Mizuno MP-20 blades, but open to anything.

Good to hear you had a good experience, makes me feel confident in going there. Cant wait for it to warm up and the days to get longer. This additional cooler weather is a shock to a South LA boy like myself.

Request Jason if you do it. Great guy and wasn't trying to BS over sell me.

I've heard some negative things about the other fitters FWIW.

Went back for driver today and landed on the Epic Max w/ a Mitsubishi Diamana RF stiff shaft.

Gained 20 yards of carry from my M6 with stock shaft.

4-6 weeks and I'll be sending it bros!

Buddy got his as well and says they're phenomenal.

I'm not good enough for them yet but fitter said the ZX5s are going to be a phenomenal player iron with a high ceiling that won't have a lot of the downside a lot of other "juiced" player irons have these days.

Pretty excited.

Hit the demos of these the other day as well as the new ping driver. Those ZX7's are sweet too.

STLHOG, where do you normally play at? I'm new to the Nashville area

Hit Two Rivers, Harpeth Hills, Ted Rhodes and McCabe pretty regular. Probably in that order as far as frequency. Really solid Muni courses here for the money. The first two are "good", Teddy is "decent" and McCabe is just a fun course to walk/drink beer/check out recreational greenway scenery. They keep them all pretty nice.

Hermitage and Gaylord for the nicer public courses. Hermitage is great, has 2 very different 18s. Gaylord also has a unique style and is pretty difficult at times.
