Sure. It was pretty obvious that Donald Trump did not take the virus seriously. Because of this, the US was not prepared to deal with it. He even has the gall to say to downplay the problem.
The Obama administration has left plans just in case a similar scenario has happened. Unfortunately. Trump's petty ego care not.

He allowed each state to deal with it how they see fit, which is one of the principles this country was founded on. The needs of South Dakota are not the same as the needs of New York. They shouldn't be governed like New York.

I had China virus not too long ago. This virus has been incredibly overblown. Claiming 400K people have died of China virus is incredibly disingenuous and is only meant to create fear. This number is meant to make people think that perfectly healthy people are catching this and suddenly dying within a week. I have asthma and and slightly overweight, and the best way I can describe this is a slow moving, very mild cold. If I didn't have a positive test, I wouldn't have known I was sick at all.
Most people who die with the virus already had one foot in the ground anyways.

The Obama pandemic plan was not taken seriously because it, in now way, measured up to the scope of what we are dealing with. His own people said the strategy used against H1N1 was an unmitigated disaster.
The truth is; EVERY nation was feeling their way through a very uncertain and dynamic pandemic. Things that worked in Europe didnt work here and the information flowing from the WHO were CCP lies. Its easy to go back and say what should have been done with the benefit of hindsight, but Trump said nothing that Fauci wasnt also saying in the moment. Fauci said that Trump always followed his advice, so unless the left is ready to toss Fauci under the bus, they should probably pipe down. Dems in the Spring were dead wrong on covid, so the contrasts are clear for anyone who wants to be honest about this. I'll also add that we are NOT counting cases and deaths the same was other countries are so the data being spewed about for political effect is dishonest to say the least. Lefties in the Biden camp are already calling or lower PCR test thresholds and higher bars to clear for an officially logged positive case. If these changes were made tomorrow, case count would be a fraction of what they are right now.
Why dont we wait until the Biden administration actually moves the needle on covid before declaring the problem solved?
