Perhaps you are correct, and no one outside rural Grimes County will vote in favor of independence.

And perhaps urban Texans see the matter differently than you.

Voting on the issue is really the only legit way to answer that question, and it won't cost the State much to do so, since the matter simply gets added as another line-item on the existing ballot for a regularly-scheduled election.
