Yes. That much. Did you not watch the hearing where they dropped their evidence in front of the entire world? A federal judge has agreed that the suit should move forward. They never even deserved tax exempt status to begin with.
I’m not saying the Clinton foundation is clean or that they may have some tax issues, just not $2.5B. If they owe that much it means they had gross rev of around $6ishB.
Your the dude that thought trump was seizing $50T in assets from child porn arrests!

What the frick does this have to do with anything? It isn't even true, for starters.
The figure comes from people who are tax professionals who have filed suit, presented evidence, and the trial moves forward, clown.

I like the use of the term “up to.”
Could be zero, could be “up to” 2.5 billion. Stayed tuned. Filing major motions this week!
How can you like being jerked around in perpetuity?

Cwill is a clown. He thinks highly successful professionals with well documented track records have less credibility than anonymous shite posters on a chit chat board who’s only retort is “nut-uh!”

I did a little research and couldn’t find a number in the lawsuit only articles from the usual suspects using the 2.5 number. I found one the cited some experts that gave a range of 400mm - 2.5T. The lower is more reasonable when you think about the gross number.
As far as official docs I can only find the appeal from the whistle blower tax court summary judgement ruling...no $$$ figures mentioned.

Their number probably includes penalties and interest on the back taxes. Which, at this point, spans as much as 19 years.

You are a fool looking for this information in the actual court documents. You have to know the right people on Twitter to follow if you want credible information.

As I said the first time, the number was given to Congress by these two guys during a congressional hearing that was available to everyone in the world to watch. Amazing how you seem to have missed this.

The number is could be supportable.
The penalties for knowingly filing false tax returns are higher than the penalties for losing your 501(c)(3) status.
On top of that, failing to register as a lobbyist firm, and other gotchas could add up pretty fast, lol.
The Clinton Foundation employees lobbied their friends in DC all the time to get meetings set up (in exchange for donations).

There’s no evidence this ever occurred.

Everyone knows these things are subjective and they always go with the highest possible number. Go peruse the OIG website for some prime examples.
Medicare fraud cases frequently get over $1BB.

I’m pretty sure the IRS can’t go back further than 10 years...and these guys are saying 2.5B in taxes, no mention of penalties, interest.

I think I found the problem, the disconnect. Maybe. I think the allegation is and should be reported as the Clinton foundation may owe taxes on, up to $2.5B and not taxes of $2.5B. I base this in an article from 2017:
LINK
Much more plausible.
quote:
When a House subcommittee chairman bangs his gavel next week to convene an unprecedented investigative hearing into the Clinton Foundation, two questions will linger as preeminent: Is the Clinton family charity really the international do-gooder that earned a perfect four-star rating from Charity Navigator, or does it suffer from corruption and illegalities as conservatives allege? And if it is the latter, how much evidence of wrongdoing does the government possess?
The answer to the first question is that the foundation and its projects reported collecting about $2.5 billion to help global crises, from AIDS to earthquakes, even as its own auditors, lawyers and employees privately warned of problems over the years.
The answer to the second question may reside in 6,000 pages of evidence attached to a whistleblower submission filed secretly more than a year ago with the IRS and FBI.
LINK
Much more plausible.
