2020 GMC AT4 with 10 speed and 3.0L Dmax... Great power and most of time you can't tell it is even shifting. 6th GM truck and definitely the best one yet. Would recommend.

The body/engine hasn't really changed much since 2007. I think that is why they run so long trouble free. They'll pass everything on the highway, but a gas station...

They have a TSB on the fluid in the 8 speed. It causes all kinds of issues.
10 speed is rock solid.

2020 Colorado with the 6 cylinder 8 speed...when you start out in the AM its like it slips hard shifting from first to second when cold..took it to the dealer and they had a bulletin saying pause for a couple of seconds before you start out..and it helped tremendously.
I'm still not easy with this I wonder if anyone else has had this experience. I won't be shocked if there's a recall down the line I notice a bit of a hard shift here and there.

Have a 2020 ram and a 2021 tahoe, the ram is definitely smoother shifting in general but the tahoe is smoother in the low gears climbing a hill.

this is good to know!
I really like the interior of the 18 models...
new body style growing on me...
I will likely have to live with this 8speed, not being ideal...
and wait for the next generation to come out... I think GM missed it on the newer models inside and outside

a luxury truck shouldn't shift harsh...it bothers me greatly "
well, now we can't be havin' that.
