Caught an employee doing exactly this several years ago. He didn't realize the amount of money going into the bank from credit card transactions wouldn't add up, and he also did two transactions over $1000. The craziest thing is the police didn't even understand that he stole any "actual money" (their words), I had to explain to them that at the end of the day the amount of money deposited in our account by the credit card processor was $2500 short.
