Should I be expecting the weather to get colder again or should I go ahead and apply since the averages are above 55*? Also want to aerate this summer, will that mess up the pre em barrier! Should I apply again after aeration?

I went ahead and put out pre emergent today based on my soil temp and this rain coming. I’m gonna put more out in a couple months. I think you need to time a second application of pre emergent after u aerate.

For most lawns I would do two spring pre em's. You can do one now and one 6 weeks from now. That you way you know you are covered. I would suggest aerating in the spring and not the summer. Aeration is stressful for the lawn and added stress of summer heat can mean a little longer to recover.
