Brennan and Finley wasn’t spotted 10 turnovers in a two game span like Max. LSU’s defense was gifted so many turnovers to take pressure off of the offense and barely won those games. Max was lucky other teams fell apart down the stretch. Ole miss kept a qb in with 5 ints and they still put up 48 points. Florida threw a pic 6 and lost because of the most boneheaded play of 2020.

I'm not quite sure I completely understand this post, but for the sake of argument LSU forced 2 first half TO's vs MSU and only produced 7 points off of them (Pick 6). In the second half MSU turned the ball over on back to back possessions (back to back snaps actually). LSU was +2 in TO's (4-2) and lost. Vandy committed two TO's. Vs. Missouri LSU recovered THREE fumbles inside of Mizzou territory. In the three games Brennan started LSU forced 9 TOs was +3 in the TO battle and every one of LSU's turnover during those games were Brennan INT's

Yes, it helped that LSU's defense forced 9 TO's vs. UF and OM, but you also have to acknowledge that Johnson only turned the ball over once in those two games.

In his three starts Brennan accounted for 11 TDs to 3 TOs. In his two starts Johnson accounted for 8 TDs to 1 TO. In Brennan's three starts the avg. points against LSU was 32. In Johnson's two starts the avg points against LSU was 41. If you take out the Vandy game it was a 45 to 41 comparison. So the defense was shite in ALL of those games

You're not going to get an exact comparison because no two games, opponents, etc are the same. But I don't think it is a great argument to say Johnson had the benefit of TOs when Brennan had largely the same benefit. In fact, LSU won the TO battle in all three games Brennan started...and went 1-2. They won the TO battle in the games Johnson started and went 2-0
