Is LSU lacking a true PG and low post presence??

I don't think any team would have beat Bama last night.
But that being said, if you could take away all points inside the 3 point line by having more dominant physical 4 man or even a 5, would it make it easier by taking that part of the court away?
LSU is talented and has a lot of what seems like 2 guards and 3 guard/small forwards.
Watford is tall but doesn't play powerful down low.
Days is strong, but on the short end and naturally drifts away from the basket.
This is a tourney team yes, but i dont see them making a run due to lack of all the pieces to make a well balanced team.

Our low post presence currently handles the ball and simply drives to the basket 1v1 most of the time. Our true PGs are coming off the bench. LSU needs that creator who can also score. Our current Gs look to all be scorers first.

Watford scores almost all of his points in the lane and Days shoots 74% from inside so it’s not as if it’s a personnel issue. Wade just doesn’t believe in post ups. He’s an analytics fanatic so the offense is all ball screens and pen downs. As far as a true big he’s just not going to play one which is why Penn-Johnson quit and Gray will never see the floor. It is what it is, this is his style but offense isn’t the problem.

This is basketball not rocket science, play better defense make more shots. When the time runs out on the clock have more points than your opponent = win

Javonte has been TERRIBLE in conference games that matter.

Definitely feels like Will wade would play with 5 combo guards if he could

He's been really bad. Will not miss him at all when he's gone.

I agree.
I can never understand how it makes sense to have the bigs out front defending and shooting and the shorter players defending under the basket and rebounding.
Then complaining about the lack of rebounding.

Javonte has been terrible? What games do y’all watch??? He has a lazy turnover here or there, but his overall impact on the games is overwhelmingly positive

no. They don't have the greatest PG's but they are adequate.
Many very good teams go without a traditional low posts prescence

Like when he won the SEC for us by dropping 29 vs Tennessee as a freshman? Is that the kind of game that matters? Or maybe like going 21pts, 6steals, 5rebs, and 4assist then hitting 2 clutch 3s to beat UGA a couple weeks ago. Would that be doing something that matters?

Do you think Smart would start at guard for Bama?
No, me neither....but he can out dribble them.

-Jaden Shackleford: 13.1ppg, 4.1rpg, 2.4 assists, 0.8 stls, 35.7% from 3
-Jahvon Quinearly: 13.3ppg, 2rpg, 3.3assists, 0.8stls, 37.8% from 3
-Javonte Smart: 14.9ppg, 3.8rpg, 4assists, 1.3stls, 46.4% from 3
Without question Javonte Smart would start at Alabama.
