My dad and I are playing golf in Baton Rouge area on Thursday. What course should we play? Seems like all the good courses are private unfortunately. Thanks for the help!

Where are you staying? How far are you willing to drive? Have you played any of the courses before?

I just moved back to New Orleans and my dad lives in Lafayette, so we’re going to try and meet in Br to play golf. I’ve played Copper Mill and The Bluffs but it’s been about 6-7 years.

Another vote for La Tour. Carter Plantation is also a good option and I think better than Santa Maria or Beaver Creek, but those would be my top 4

We’re going to LaTour seemed like the best option and not as crowded. Played there years ago so excited to get out there.

Also we’ve played Atchafalaya a few times. Love the layout but the greens and bunkers need a lot of work.

Played Santa Maria on Monday and the greens are ridiculously fast right now. Was a fun round for sure.

Beaver Creek has the fastest greens I've ever seen at a BREC course. Great shape.

I play Clark Park every weekend with my son. He is 10. Sad they are closing on the 1st.
