quote:Why would you trade JJ for Dinwiddie? He is likely out for the year and has an option for next year. I would think we could get more for JJ than a salary dump.
Trades we need:
Lonzo to Houston for Tucker and House
JJ to Brooklyn for Dinwiddie
Bledsoe to Boston into their TPE
Sign Isiah Thomas to a minimum deal as a vet backup guard
Opens up the playing time Kira and NAW needs, gives JJ his championship opportunity, and we lose no veteran presence.
Also, opens up our full 9.3 million non taxpayer MLE to use in the buyout market if the right player becomes available and we choose to use it.
What does Boston give us for Bledsoe and why do they want him? Would that have tax implications for Boston?

Dinwiddie would be a guy we could evaluate while we rehab his ACL and decide if we want to keep or not. He's also a great veteran, and does what's needed to help the team win no questions asked. His fit with this team is also great.
As for Bledsoe, taking him in to Boston's TPE would have them about 2.4 million into the tax, which would be very easy to get out of. I would ask for a lottery protected future 1st from them, but the real asset for me would be the playing time for Kira and NAW along with the available space
