Problem is there is a lot of variance with how long antibodies last. We also don’t know nearly all there is to know about long term memory T cell immunity either. Unfortunately it’s not just the black or white thing with of “does x person have antibodies or not.” They are always going to error on the extremely conservative side for the optics of nothing else.

Yeah I get all that. My understanding is that the vaccine main benefit is that it would severely lessen the effects if a person was to contract the virus. Fauci was on TV the other day saying that the vaccine won’t really prevent the spread just lessen the symptoms.
If that’s the case then it’s make no sense giving the 1st doses to young healthy people who are at no real risk if they were to contract the virus.
