Yep I was on campus then. It was wild to just walk by and see Duke standing there on the bench talking.

Was there when Duke spoke, also the SDS, Panthers,
young republicans, among others.

Remember it was polarized, there were the cowboy/Ag department guys,and I remember female speaking who represented the then women's movement. She is now an attorney.
Not related to the alley, but I remember when LSU dorms went coed,some religious protestors in front of the dorms with signs stating we would burn in hell.

I was there in the early/mid 90's too and went to see Duke.

I also remember the crazy preacher guy that called all the girls sluts and said everyone was going to hell.

ETA: I just read the rest of the comments...I guess everyone remembers the crazy preacher.
