I am shocked as well. Almost in disbelief that this would be the first time in a state like Texas where HS football is its own religion and the population is as big as it is. Interesting.

This is so true. I was invited to the State Championships a few years back. I went expecting to see a HS football game. It was like being at LSU/Alabama. The sheer number of players and coaches, the equipment, the crowd was all like a major SEC game. It was in Texas Stadium. Blew my mind.
