I don't know. I would probably consider Raleigh-Durham or maybe DFW as the Silicon Valley of the south before Huntsville.

RDU maybe. But thats changing more and more as Huntsville keeps growing as a tech hub.

Dallas? Not really. What makes Silicon Valley is the high concentration of tech there. It's the defining industry. DFW may have a good size tech industry, it doesn't define the city like it does Huntsville (or RDU).

HSV is most definitely the Silicon Valley of the south. All the cutting edge hypersonic technologies for manufacturing are located there for example
