I have an Oasis that I got after years with the Paperwhite. I absolutely love it. The extra size, rotating screen, the buttons, and the auto-brightness make it worth it. If you get a good case (I got a good one for $10), it turns on and off automatically when you open the cover.
My only complaint is battery life. Using the auto backlight, it burns through battery life pretty quick. Saving grace is that it goes from almost dead to fully charged in 30 min or so.

Btw if anyone is interested I got an email that they're running a discount on the oasis. I might get one after all now that it's marked down about 60 dollars

love the oasis, hate the auto backlight. I leave it off, and leave the kindle on airplane mode, and the battery lasts over a week reading every day
