Cutting cables and variations thereof. When ESPN has exclusives and the potential viewership has decided to do without ESPN, viewership will continue to drop and advertising slots will be harder to sell, or to sell at any price.
There is no equivalent of The Mouse That Roared to save ESPN 's shrinking revenues.
