I think I'm going with Boston Ivy. It has that classic look I'm going for, does well in zone 7, and appears to be pretty easy to maintain.

Yea, it's a good Vine. It's the vine that grows on the outfield wall at Wrigley field and on the buildings at Harvard, hence The Ivey League, so it's plenty hardy. It does die back in the winter and you will have bare Vine until spring.
