i'm critical of st tammany parish but this is a remarkably bad opinion... but it's coming from the guy who said bayou st john and west riverside is scary

That Rouse's you're talking about may be near "Bayou St. John," but it's miles south of the Bayou St. John neighborhood that people want to live in. And even so, that neighborhood was pretty scary by the time I was 15. There's a park there named after a man named Jack Bartlett. Look him up.

As for Mandeville, I never said it was dangerous. It's just boring as shite. Its claim to fame is being a bedroom community for a famous city separated from it by a single point-of-access of record-setting length. No thanks.

ETA: I've never in my life heard anyone call that area "West Riverside." Are you selling real estate there? It's a quaint area but I'd recommend burglar bars.

Everyone that says Alexandria just says it because it looks like arse driving thru 1-49. None of them have lived here. I thought the same thing, moved here out of necessity to be close to my mom in Shreveport as she was dying from cancer.... my mom has passed but not as easy to pick up and leave. We have good jobs/friends, kids got great schools and a nice house...people are really nice. Women are fine to look at. Sure if you’re from here and get no degree like anywhere else in Louisiana it will suck..... but You’d really have to be a bad human to not like Alexandria if you really knew it
