Your surprised someone who is about to hit the jackpot with a multimillion dollar payday as a 2nd to 3 rd round draft pick would say f grad school I’m going to focus on my career/ combine training instead . I honestly think almost any rational person would do the same.

I understand the kid is about to get paid handsomely from being a high draft pick in the NFL, but I also feel that it is kind of shitty for a guy to negatively impact the immediate future of the program (by not maintaining grades, and thus, disallowing LSU to take grad transfer next year).
Seems to me, LSU did him a solid by giving him a spot to showcase his skill in the SEC (and potentially improve his draft stock). IMO, the least the kid should do is take care of his business in such a way that he leaves the program in a similar position as to when he arrived. As it it stands now, a kid in his identical position won’t be afforded the same opportunity next season.
Either way, I appreciate the effort Cox put on the field this past year. He played hard every week, and was one of the few bright spots on defense
