In my research I learned a lot of chefs have them in their homes. At the time I got mine, it also had the highest BTU burner available on the market (25,000). Not sure if that's still the case. Also like that you can take the grate off the burner and it perfectly holds a wok for wok cooking. Also like the open burners. Some people think they're a hassle to clean, but I've found the opposite. I absolutely LOVE my Blue Star.
