If you were the Head of operations and have a treasure chest of assets

Where would you start to shake up the roster?
New point guard?
Better bench?
Bradley Beal?
I'm very angry right now. I need a hug

First order of business is getting rid of lonzo. Addition by subtraction

You don't cash in assets until there's a deal that elevates the roster. Maybe it's a 3rd star. Maybe it's a group of solid players that elevate our bench/depth.

Right now?
I’d honestly not go crazy right now. Not a whole lot you can do this moment unless you want to get taken advantage of.
- I’d put in a mandate to focus on a comprehensive approach to the season, not simply trying to win, which would mean playing and developing guys like Naw and Kira but not throwing games.
- I’d explore trades for Lonzo, targeting the best deal I can find for the deadline.
- I’d explore trades for Bledsoe. He’s not on our timeline and isn’t an ideal fit with Zion/Ingram
- I’d explore trades for Redick. He’s also not on our timeline and is unlikely to stay past this season so getting any sort of value would be wise.
- I’d try and establish a line of communication about Beal and see what they want.
- I’d review Langdon and see who was ultimately responsible for Melli/Hayes and our scouting decisions. Consider firing him.
- I’d start a search for a new associate head coach that can come in and focus on offensive strategy and development to compliment SVG’s defensive approach. It feels like SVG has staffed rather hastily and nepotistically and would do well with an injection of one or more guys with some fresh ideas and perspectives he could incorporate.
- My preferred archetype in the draft would be a 3/4 Reddish/Nesmith/Hunter type player that projects to be a floor spreader and defensive stopper, unless we end up finding a workable deal for Beal.
- I would look to lower cost veterans to fill out our open role player spots and to fill the needed void of vet leadership but not in a way that is cannibalizing the development of young players.

These are guys I’m willing to sell
quote:I trade all that to a dumb gm who has a great player/players that fit my system better than his. And maybe that gm likes these guys more
