I don't think he's blackballed, but he comes with serious baggage for a position coach. He lied to the NCAA and to his head coach. That's a very serious breach of trust with a guy who hired you four times. People pay attention to it.

As far as I have ever known, the League has no official power to restrict the hiring of coaches. Which is not to say, depending on the strength of a sitting commish, that the League won't strongly recommend against a certain hiring. Tubby moving from the Black Bears to AU was strongly frowned upon by the League but it could not stop him.

You seem to be on a short list of people that believe Davis did not tell Saban anything. So, a control freak knew nothing? Really?
