Who else thinks we see a lot of new faces in the linebacking corps next season?

I’m still really high on the LBs O signed in 2020.

I was impressed with the LB play for UNC last night against aTm. They kept things under control until the last 5 min of the game when Achane busted a 76 yd TD.

I'm shocked they didn't get any PT the last couple of games.

Sampah and White need this off-season to gain weight and get stronger. I think they’ll both be really good once they get ready physically. Strong is likely your starter at MLB if he can learn the DC’s scheme. Clark, if used correctly, should also continue to get better. I refuse to believe he is as bad as he showed last year. Baskerville seems like a steady option and senior leader.

I think Clark was mostly outside prior to this year. Maybe more of a pass rusher.

You think he will beat out White and Sampah?

Yes, Strong comes in ready to play day 1 as a starter at one of the LB positions.

He’s better on the edge and close to the LOS rather than dropping into coverage. He’s never been a downhill thumper either but Pelini chose to use the worst parts of his game.

A little worried about this position but like some of the talent. Wish we could get Cox back for 1 more year. Losing Raesjon Davis stings too hopefully they can make a great DC hire and try to reel him back in. I know I’m in the minority but I’d like to see one of the last 3 spots used on either Davis or a LB transfer that can start right away especially if we lose Cox.

Is Phillip Webb still a LB or is he a DE now?

Stud. He’s going to be fun to watch.

With a new DC coming in, he should be able to start on an even playing field woth the rest ofbthe LBers as far as learning/knowledge of the new defense and earning favor with whoever the new LB coach will be.

Webb was definitely recruited to play 3-4 OLB in Aranda’s scheme and is sort of a tweener in a strict 4-3. One thing I really like about Freeman is that he uses multiple looks and shifting fronts. I think he would use guys like Webb, White and Sampah much more effectively than Bo would have if he stayed for another season. I really hope we can land him.

I do not believe him or White played or if so, it was maybe a single game on ST.
