Not literally. But they will need to kiss his ring...
And he keeps it in his back pocket.

Gaye and Ojulari are going to combine for over 25+ sacks.

pass rush wasn't the problem this year

both were very bad at run D/setting the edge b/c they overly pursued for sacks/pressure

I don’t know if what we would call an “LSU Defense” exists in today’s college football

It’s astonishing how BAD defense has become in the SEC but also in the other P5 conferences. The BIG-12 has been the proverbial dumpster fire as far as Defense is concerned for a while.

The ACC & PAC-12 weren’t very far behind (or ahead ??) BUT the BIG-10 always seemed to have a hand full of teams w/really outstanding Defenses - OSU, MSU, WISC, NW, IOWA & maybe PSU.

Hopefully the SEC Defensive cesspool is a 1 year, everything about 2020 is shite type of thing & NOT something that will endure!!

Good PGC

Is the “Passing Game Coordinator” thing gonna be something that’s considered a necessity now?

It looks like we don’t have a choice; we are getting a 4-3 d coord or a guy that just lines up the way the talent dictates.

no reason these guys can't play in a 3-4

the gap scheme is much more important

gaye is already 262. you can easily be the SDE in a 1-gap 3-4 at that weight. BJ would play the rush-edge LB on the other side

Not disagreeing at all.

But moving say Gaye and Ojulari to bench/field lb (using aranda terms)still puts us around 9 players for 4 lb spots.

DLine just got deep enough to field 4 man dl.

No doubt. Safety play was terrible.

Need good LB coach and better safety play. Good DC that can adjust to game time issues and we’ll be back! All other areas should be good.
