That's why my plan of 6 is close to perfect. Power 5 champs, and one wildcard (could be anybody from any league). Top 2 byes, all games are played at the higher seed's stadium. Championship is a neutral site Super Bowl type deal.
This maintains a HUGE incentive to be seeded as high as possible. Does #3 seed LSU want to travel to #2 seed Ohio st. in December or January? After sticking their neck out against a #6 Cincinnati type school??? I don't think so.
