A friend in DC told me the rich are moving back to the country again.
I’ve noticed this some too. I know a lot of people buying ranch homes and such outside of Manassas and other similar areas.

Anybody mentioning crime on here make sure you make it relevant. The amount of crime outside of se dc is minuscule compared to other big cities and the suburbs. The only reason you know crime happens here is that it’s plastered literally everywhere when it happens because it never really happens.
For instance - Fairfax County had around 1.2 million residents and may have had 2 murders all of last year.
Sure there are pockets, but even living in Reston and especially now Leesburg, I have NEVER been scared to leave my house unlocked while walking in the neighborhood or to roam the streets in the middle of the night.
