NOx sniffers exist and I believe operating a deleted truck on the highway is playing with some federal reg violations. I have no idea how often this happens.
You may or may not get caught and I'm not sure what happens if you do.

Mine is almost at 100k. I’ll fix what breaks when it does but not playing with that. I’m sure the penalties would be significant. Not worth it to me.
