Absolutely. That this question needs even addressing is clear evidence for how bollixed and bewildered our civilization is. Alasdair MacIntyre, perhaps the greatest moral philosopher of this and the last generation, closes his indispensable After Virtue with the warning: “the new dark ages are already upon us.”

For those that would even dare to answer that lust of another who is not his or her spouse is acceptable, under what authority do you make such a proclamation? Do you reject the teachings of the One whose coming is near, the very Jesus who takes away the sin of the world? Do his words -- “You have heard that it was said, ‘Do not commit adultery.’ But I say to you that everyone who looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart” -- mean nothing to you? All morality that is just and true comes from Jesus.

To proclaim the bad news -- that Jesus is wrong and that pornography is acceptable -- is a moral offence to which you will one day answer. Indeed, that even one of you here could suggest such a preposterous stance is evidence that MacIntyre was correct and we do live in a time after the age of virtue, an age of nothing but empty emotivism.

It is high time that those who care for love, justice, and truth stand up and condemn the lies of emotivism and secularism. It is time to find the One who is the arbiter of right and wrong, Jesus Christ.
