We all know E is an average OC, but one of my favorite calls from yesterday was the mesh route to get Boutte open on a 3rd or 4th down. When we went for 2, I was pissed that Boutte wasn’t in the game. One thing I wish we would do more of the mesh routs/pick plays out of a tight bunch in the red zone. If you look at Brady’s sets from last year, these were most successful. Sark does a bunch of them to get Smith open. E’s got a great story and I’m glad he’s a Tiger, but we are less than creative in the red zone.

No we don’t. I know he’s an exceptional OC.

Stephen Ensminger is a very good offense of coordinators. I do think however we need to have someone help with the passing game and to have a second set of eyes in mind in the booth. He has seen Brady and many others through the years and knows football. His desire to win is stronger than any offensive coordinator we could ever have. I don’t think he deserves the flack that he gets from so-called fans. Every One was screaming for Kendall Briles last year. We saw what Kendall Briles did when we played Arkansas. They are not that many coordinators out there who can put up 53 points and pass for 430 yards with a freshman quarterback and a freshman receiver with several other true freshmen on the field. If you’re going to blame anything on this year‘s team blame the quitters the starters we had to replace with true freshmen

I met Ensminger when I was a kid and he our QB forever ago. I can’t help but like the guy. He’s a true Tiger and would do anything for LSU.

His play calling can be brilliant at times and awful at times. I do think it helps him to have someone else in the booth. I believe it keeps him on track and being creative and unpredictable.

This proves he’s not a very good OC!

That’s why schools were making him offers every year to come be their OC.

Jimmy Carter was a nice guy, but a horrible President. Some of the best coaches (think a certain midget) are Class A assholes. Nice is good for picking neighbors, but meaningless for pickup g coaches.
