Could you see him "letting it rip" against Appy state ala Florida back in the 90's, to set the tempo/tone of the season?

As in LSU is up 45-7 in the 4th, and he's still throwing the ball to score more points...

And before you say no, he HAS done it to teams before. Like north texas in 2005 when he put flynn in there and he threw 3 TD's as a backup.

Also last year for the opening game with RP throwing td's in the 4th quarter, and with la tech throwing td's in the 4th. 58-10 final score.

So if LSU starts pulling away, do you think he tries to touch 50? 60 points?

Nope. I disagree. Les has better character then that. Play with class!

LSU didn't have to beat MSU last year AT THEIR HOUSE 45-0.

But he did.

Could've been "respectful" at 21-0 or something.

Les is OK with running up the score. He was passing on Virginia Tech late, and also Ohio State when the game was basically over.

Not sure if he'll do it on Appy State (or even if we'll get the chance), but I could see him doing it as a backdoor dig at Michigan and how they handled the coaching hire last year.

And the following week LSU only beat Appalachian St. 24-0 and I'm not saying it wasn't a great win, but not a blow out.

what cracks me up is that in 3 years, Les has ran up the score many times, but a lot of LSU fans will deny this and say he is "too respectful" to do something like that.

I say screw that, run it up.

Prove your point.

let hatch throw 4 td's.

With it likely being a prodominately running attack on our part, and a geraral vanilla offense, I wouldn't expect i high scoring affair..lower 40's at best from late game sloppyness

Not only do I think he will not/would not run up the score, but this has always bugged me about Les. I believe you should allow your 2nd, even 3rd string to have a chance to 'air it out'. I hate to see a backup come in & hand the ball off. You never know when he may be needed, & it is always good for the next year, if nothing else.

i hope lets the backup QB run the full offensive package. Once your backups are in, anything is game. Is they can't stop our backups throwing the ball, then tough shite. I never fault anyone for throwing with backups. They need to get real game experience running the full package so if injuries occur they aren't overwhelmed when they step in.

I say run it up. It'll kinda be like practice for our QB's. Plus it may help the rankings.
